NULLPKT (ver 11.0) Abandoned Freeware NULLPKT is a "Dummy" PC/TCP packet driver TSR, for running network programs offline when a real driver would refuse to load due to lack of a NIC adapter. Some applications look for a packet driver to communicate with when they start up, and will fail if none is found. Use this dummy driver, and avoid the need to install real hardware, for when programs are only being tested, or to use a browser as an offline file reader only. This program is compatable with 16-bit DOS thru 32-bit WinXP. The "packet_int_no" is a required parameter. Typically a safe choice for the packet interrupt number is "0x60". However, you can use any of the following: 0x60 thru 0x66, 0x68 thru 0x6f, or 0x78 thru 0x7e. Usage: NULLPKT [options] -d Delayed initialization, for diskless booting -n NetWare conversion, 802.3 packets into 8137 packets -w Windows hack, obsoleted by winpkt -p Promiscuous mode disable -u Uninstall ----- The application talking through this packet driver will typically be a WATTCP using application, so it will require a configured WATTCP.CFG file. This file at the minimum contains the computers IP address, Masking info, Gateway IP address, and Name Server IP address. Included is an example Wattcp.cfg file (replace the "xxx" entries with appropriate Bogus IP address numbers from the reserved address range). IP addresses in these ranges are reserved for "testing" (e.g., Bogus): 192.0.2.0 - 192.0.2.255 198.51.100.0 - 198.51.100.255 203.0.113.0 - 203.0.113.255
